Menstrual
pain or dysmenorrhea are usually in the lower abdomen or means, which may
radiate to the hips, thighs and back. Commonly called "colic" type of
pain due to sudden rise and fall of the pain described, the severity of attacks
varies greatly from woman to woman and even between the same periods in women.
Menstrual symptoms may be primary or secondary, which usually begin one to two
