The lymphatic system is a
network of organs, lymph nodes, lymph vessels and lymph vessels that produce
and transport lymph in the tissues into the bloodstream. Lymph is a clear
liquid with white formed by white blood cells and contains a fluid, such as the
chyle of the intestine, proteins and fats. Lymph nodes are small bean-shaped,
soft nodules. They are located in clusters in different parts of the body like
the neck, armpits, groin, and inside the center of the chest and abdomen. The
condition called lymphedema, also known as Lymphblockade is, by localized fluid
retention and tissue swelling that is caused by a compromised lymphatic system.
Manual lymphatic drainage or
MLD is a type of massage that supports lymphatic drainage. A method was invented
in 1930 by Dr. Emil Vodder massage therapist and his wife Estrid. The other is
the result of Bruno MD Chikly was winning research on the lymphatic system.
Manual lymphatic drainage is through the massage therapists are trained to do
to manage them. The Vodder method uses gentle massage stimulate the lymphatic
system to eliminate metabolic waste, excess fluid and bacteria. In the other
method, therapists recognize the existing first release of some of the lymph in
the body. Then you have a lymphatic drainage technique employs a few hands flat
and fingers to simulate any body fluid control device of alternative routes
stagnation flow.
Benefits of manual lymphatic
drainage
The lymphatic system is an
important part of the body's immune system. It transports nutrients to cells
and prevents metabolic wastes, toxins and excess fluid from the body. There is
little difference in the two methods, and they have similar effects. Among the
many benefits of this therapy are the detoxification of the body and stimulates
the immune system. There is a double edged sword, can correct some conditions,
as well as support for preventive health maintenance. It promotes the
circulation of fluid and cell regeneration. Some other important advantages
are:
• It helps reduce swelling
• It can provide relief of
ulceration
• It promotes tissue
regeneration (eg, burns, wounds, stretch marks, and pre-and post-surgical
scarring)
• It is an effective control
and treatment of lymphedema is
• It improves the skin
radiation damage
• It provides support deep
relaxation, insomnia, depression, stress can
• It also helps to reduce
symptoms of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia
• It can relieve chronic pain,
sprains and strains (sports injuries)
• It can be used to relieve
many chronic inflammatory and subacute such as sinusitis, bronchitis, hay fever
and rhinitis.
• Can AIDS venous
insufficiency
• It helps to relieve obesity
and cellulite.
If you think that will
alleviate the manual lymphatic drainage for each condition of suffering, first
consult your doctor, especially if you have chronic hypertension, heart
problems or other infections. With your permission, doctors will find a
certified lymphatic manual drainage (MLD) practitioner. Steps you can take
before you find yourself, avoid using lotions or other skin lubricant to allow
maximum friction. Once there, you should discuss your health with the
therapist, who then decided, the frequency of your sessions. This will reduce,
as your condition improves. After MLD, you may be one of many reactions, do not
worry. Some people may need to go to the bathroom often occur within a few
hours after the MLD due to the increase in fluids displaced from tissues to the
kidneys. Make sure to replenish lost water. A couple of other sick or deeply
